Whether it is by adopting practices that do not correspond to actual needs, or using methods based on charity and dependency, waste in development is widespread and can no longer be tolerated. Adopting practices that maximize efficiency, are environmentally sensitive, and utilize local resources must become a minimum standard in theory and practice.
This event will unite both civil society actors and academic experts to explore some of these issues and present viable solutions to toxic development.
